We aren't the first to provide song recomendations to those in search of some fresh sounds. We know of Spotify radio, Pandora radio, Apple music recomendations and all those fancy things, but what we are trying to figure out is why these companies suggest the songs they recomend to their users.
Here at Spotify Suggester Group 2, we take the taste profile of listeners, and through the use of machine learning and data science, we formulate a list of recomended songs, based on the mood of the songs you already like. Most companies might just recomend songs of the same genre or type, in hopes that it would fullfil their listener's desires, but by basing our list on the mood of your favorite songs, we can hook you up with sounds of similar key, energy, tempo, and even valence, so that you never have to take time out of the day to wonder:
"What song should I play next?"
